The layout is pretty simple. You’ll come across a 5×3 grid with ten winlines that pay left to right and can’t be changed. You set how much virtual currencies you want to use per spin using the buttons either side of the main play button. The screen is uncluttered, which I appreciate after some of the busier slots I’ve sat in front of.
At a sweeps casino, you pick whether you’re playing in Gold Coin (GC) mode or Sweeps Coin (SC) mode before you start spinning. We tend to do a few rounds in GC first to see how the game is treating us, then swap over to SC for a chance to redeem real prizes.

Those numbers may seem small on their own, although the reel expansion can multiply them whenever the matching symbol lands in the right spot.
The centrepiece feature is the free spins round. You start it by landing those three book scatters. Before the round begins, the game randomly selects one of the paying symbols and marks it as the special expanding symbol for the entire bonus.
For the next ten spins, any time that chosen symbol appears, it spreads to cover the whole reel and pays as if it sat in every position. If the random pick is the cat or the pharaoh, the round can produce some big results. If it’s a ten or a jack, you grit your teeth and ride it out.
In short, we have only good things to say about how it performed on my phone. We ran a long session on an older Android we keep around and it didn’t stutter or crash. The buttons reposition for portrait mode and everything you need is reachable with one thumb.
