Chumba Casino’s long dominance
Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW) launched Chumba Casino in 2012. By 2016, the sweepstakes site became the top operator in the industry.
According to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), the primary federal regulator that oversees online gambling in Australia, Chumba Casino generated $3.7 billion in revenue in the financial year ending June 30, 2025.
Recent reports estimate that Chumba Casino’s revenues might contract by $1 billion in the coming year, but it is still a massive revenue generator.
Crown Coins’s 2026 surge
Meanwhile, Crown Coins has surged in 2026. The site recently announced Crown Rips, which allows players to use Sweepstakes Coins to purchase digital cards.
Because such purchases involve speculation on the value of collector sets instead of traditional games of chance like slots, blackjack, or roulette, Crown Rips might not be considered a banned activity under a raft of new state-initiated sweepstakes casino bans.
How Crown Rips digital card purchases work
Crown Rips takes a page from standalone sweepstakes sites that use a mystery box format and a no-loss safeguard to ensure the immediate retail value of a product.
In the case of Crown Rips, the mystery box does not include battle cards and virtual coins like Card Crush. Instead, it offers packs of sports trading cards or Pokémon cards.
Crown Coins does not have a licensing arrangement with sports or Pokémon trading card manufacturers, but buys the digital cards themselves on the secondary market.
While online search traffic does not mean Crown Coins has surpassed Chumba Casino in revenue, it is an indication that Crown Rips may have stoked increased interest in the sweepstakes casino.
Blask online gaming data analysis metrics
Blask has become a trusted source by aggregating billions of data points in the online gaming industry. Its BAP ratings calculate a brand’s overall weighted position and visibility in a market.
As Blask explains its data analysis, the percentage-based metric gives a “mental market share” of different sectors of the online gaming industry.
How the Brand Accumulated Power percentages work
The BAP’s data inputs come from Google search queries, but also collect information on other variables such as brand growth velocity, search visibility, and player retention proxies like daily social media buzz.
It is thus a measurement of consumer demand across tracked operators in specific online gaming markets.

VGW adjusts to the evolving sweepstakes casino market
VGW is currently adjusting to the wave of online sweepstakes casino bans. It recently announced that LuckyLand Slots, Chumba Casino’s sister site, was winding down operations. August 24 will be the last date that players can redeem SC for real-world value.
LuckyLand Slots’ players are being migrated to LuckyLand Casino and Just Slots, two successor sites. VGW designed both with technical innovations and updated terms of use, so they are designed specifically for the current legal environment.
